Long John, Local Rebel, and Balladeer,
Were driving from coast to coast.
When their car stalled in the Mojave Desert
On a desserted stretch of the road.

They knew they'd have to get out and walk,
The next town was miles and miles away.
And so they made their preparations,
To help get them through the day.

Long John said, "I'm taking some water,
If I get thirsty I'll have something to drink."
Balladeer said, "I'm taking some food,
It's more important than water, I think."

Local Rebel said, "Food will make me fat,
And too much water could make me drown.
I'm taking a car door with me because,
If it's hot, I can roll the window down!"

LJ
it was cute. Would you believe I've heard it. I'm bumping this to the front in case others missed it.
