         “HOLDING YOU”

Did you ever smell the newborn grass,
on a lovely, damp spring day?
When we cared about each other,
in that very special way?

Did you ever take a walk in the park,
stealing kisses, when it was dark?
Feeling loving lips together,
both pairs making their mark?

Did you ever crave a gentle kiss,
from only him, on your tender lips?
And a very soft loving touch,
with his passionate fingertips?

Did you ever lie in a meadow,
and hold each other tight?
Feeling the warmth of two bodies,
from daybreak, and into the night?

Did you ever lay with him,
in his enticing, sensuous bed?
Holding, touching, and loving,
until you thought, you were a newlywed?

Did you ever want to know,
how he really feels about you?
Or do you lie there next to him,
and he never gives you a clue?

So you smelled the newborn grass,
and he said that you were the one.
Smiles lit up your pretty face,
knowing you were, that special someone.

Bill

"Did you ever crave a gentle kiss,
from only him, on your tender lips?
And a very soft loving touch,
with his passionate fingertips?
Did you ever lie in a meadow,
and hold each other tight?
Feeling the warmth of two bodies,
from daybreak, and into the night?"

These are beautiful words with so much meaning and sensuality.  Finding that special someone and knowing that you are special too is a fabulous feeling.

Great poem

Good afternoon rosepetals25,
Well rosepetals, I try not to write one that's, well you know. But many go to the waste basket, and are started over! You are very sweet, and I do thank you for coming by, and for your kind comments.

Afternoon Sunny,
Why thank you, one of tender words. You are always so very kind. Thanks Sunny.
