velvet spores ... touching petals upon my skin feel her redness from within velvet spores bloom in folds tales of my rose remain untold greenly grow in garden's heart 'til buds profuse so far apart when to reach my heaven's gate her softest touch upon my fate chameleon wings of blushing peach downy yellow her fingers do reach pink alba turns a purple's royal tuscany's strain, so dark and loyal for each of us to be consumed bedded petals be our sweet perfume to rest upon her velvet spores forever to dream in forever mores M.A. Miller (for my loving wife, Nanci) 09.08.00 < !signature--> My calling before me, let quill be my offering; For to be called poet, no greater gift to receive. thanks Claire ... always a pleasure in knowing you read my work ... i was trying to work in as many references to real rose varieties as i could in this work, without it seeming obvious and keep it sensual at the same time ... thanks again. |
