Long John was a hero
A legend of his time
He got away with murder
As an unsuspected crime

Long John was a showman
He had earned amassed applause
In his defense, speeches he made
Earned money for his cause

He said the deed, in jest was meant
Didn't know what happened for a time
But he'd always had this particular bent
To follow it, was inclined

Long John Ag toured far and near
Was well met, with many groups
He then gave expositions on how
to avoid trial, by being loops

and as his fame grew louder,
it grew more boisterous
the people crowded in, much prouder
to see Long John, local  priests impress

This hero toured both far and near
The crime now, can you guess
He murdered all propriety
Wearing hairy legs with sequined dress.

well, well, well - what have we here?  Another "friend" betraying me...  why oh why do I suffer these slings and arrows??  *woe-begone eyes*.  Of course you know, sweet, dear, innocent Kethry, THIS MEANS WAR!!!!

Lessee - something about blondes oughta be a good place to start .. heh heh

Quit yer smirking, Wilfred.  After stealing away the hearts of all these lovely women poets in here, my streak of jealousy has just about stretched as far as it will go!  *g*

I dunno how LJA didn't get arrested for driving around Oregon in a convertible with a sequined dress on...we have eyesore laws...hairy pits and arms don't mix with silver sequins....

good'un Keth

xangel, whtdve, suthern Thanks for siding with me on this. Just don't get shot in the rear on my account.

Long John WAR it is!

With Long John Deer and Toerag
the competition's strong
but they need to worry
now that Kethry's come along

The gauntlet is thrown
the battle is won
so cower in fear
I'm best, under this sun.

For post and riposte
is my forte
and if you laugh
I will start a sortie

It's all good
so laugh while you may
for Kethry is taking
the crown from today.

Queenie? That's a good name! I had a dog named Queenie once...itty bitty thing that barked a lot and wet herself when she got nervous. Hey, LongJohn, you remember Queenie, don'tcha? She used to lick your hairy legs
