Lightning flashing
Thunder rolling
disturbing
bowling alleys
& streetlights
No space
FLASHCRASH!!
babies crying
women angry
men laughing
drinking
death knocking
parties continue
life goes on
Why?
disaster
No one cares?
I can hear a child
whimpering
  yet still
  men only
  laugh
Woman is mad
bottles clinking
or is it souls?
Souls
like glass...seethrough
             solid
             real
             useful
             easily shattered
What is the soul?
Is it the heart?
Love burns there
deepest desires
        fears
        dreams
or is it the conscience?
Right and Wrong
live here
Right and Wrong?
Right to mourn loss
but disaster strikes
life goes on
surely the soul is not there
In the heart?
Children die
War torn streets
Couples divide
surely the soul is not there
like glass...real
like a glass, half full?
or half empty?
maybe fully gone
I sit
15 feet above resting waters
parties continue
life continues
but now disaster is the talk
like media we dwell
The rain has stopped
Problems gone
Right?
fires still rage in the mountains
Nature fights for her life
Along with firemen
The soul...
Ask yourself
Is your glass
half full?

RojoGrande~
You've sent an avalanche of thoughts
plumetting down the page ...
quite intoxicating.

*You can go to the little pen and pencil Edit icon
on your poem and change the title.

Enjoyed.
