Someone wishes to escape
A prison that binds their dreams
The dastardly confines of
Another human being

Who should hold the key?
That keeps another jailed
What sinister mechanism
To keep them locked away

Mental methods of control
More binding than the ropes
That keeps a person jailed
And dashes out their hopes

Apparitions of freedom
Aren't all they seem
When one is brutalized
Mentally behind the scenes

Can't you hear the cries?
As she pleads to leave
Let loose of her spirit
For once do what is right

You had many chances
To make it all right
So many times forgiven
By her over and again

You are a coward!
You're sucking the life out
But she still can dream
Of a life of happiness

Now! Now is the time
To relinquish the hold
Let her breathe freedom
Give back her life!

Such a voice of empowerment here!

Wonderful words of strength in here..

Now! Now is the time
To relinquish the hold
Let her breathe freedom
Give back her life!

The keyholder remains the keyholder.
Taking action will create the magic wand,  To borrow from Goethe:  "Each indecision brings its own delays and days are lost
lamenting over lost days... What you can do or think you can
do, begin it. For boldness has magic, power, and genius in it."
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Excellent writing, embrace it, my friend.

I appreciate the input concerning my writing.  I truly value it.
