Listening to every heart

Master Time

Fly on, inscrutable Master Time
     press through the
                                  replicas
                                               of past history

on wings of silver present and golden future

You shall continually experience
                                                       what I savor
again and again

day after day

that which you give, forever new
                                                       notwithstanding

that you shall make all of mine ancient with dust.

Pass on and along, you shall not hesitate to
age the living,
but bring unerringly along the future
and reminisce
with us always that which has expired,

for it is evermore in our trail of shifting footsteps.

For me, the past is still young, yes, young,
albeit
deeply engraved with forgotten promises and lost words
of old flames.

Until there came unto me
                                        one
                                                  that will not be
propelled into the past,

one
that will thrust his potency
against you.

Ah Yes, Master Time….

we shall remember our
history, embraced,
and in this,

this, the present
                           we shall forever share ourselves
                                                                                 unto ourselves.

(And not wonder at how long forever shall be)

Severe though you are, he has never yielded
and has and shall patiently endure,

and stands, does he, against your broad span of yesterdays.

So, Master Time, we have this yet,
our youth,
even if only in our minds,

so go on your
road of Always and Nevermore ~

for we shall continue to walk our green path

of Forever

in perpetuity.

They say it is relative after all...lol

So, I am sure the past is young...and the future is old.

This is great Karilea.

Thanks for the reads tonight

Amazing Karilea. . .

Just shows that you should never pitch an unfinished work. . . you never know. . .

This one shows that time continues. . . simply amazing. . .

Karilea~

Oh, my gosh ...
it's replete with spirits walking
!

God, I just LOVE it !
But ... I think you knew I would.
Could be destined for a 'favorite'.
Love you ... adore your poetry !
