The winds blow calm,
...at summer's die,
Breathes sweet the lea,
...'neath azure sky,
A chamber grand,
...as heaven's vault,
Amid the green,
...of earth's exalt.
Demeter rises,
...from her sleep,
From her awake,
...does harvest leap,
Fresh quilted colors,
...trees ablaze,
Night steals away,
...the length of days.

Farewell to summer,
...its passions stole,
For in the autumn,
...lies mortal's soul.
