Demented pieces of organic matter
Tranquil peace in incredulous shatter -
Ones seemingly holding a form of life
But the ones that don't live that life!

Madmen picked from
        Everywhere else but here
Lunatics from subterranean
        Natural human parks
Loners and land sharks
        Wearing caps marked MAD.

Each night
        They dream the same nightmare
They sleep the same dead way.
Each day
They dream the same empty dream
They awaken the same lifeless way.

Welcome to a world, where madmen reside
A prison blocked with
        No doors, No windows,
        Unlocked, Unshackled
!
Yet you'll find locked within this world inside
Imbecile captives held
        In various states
        Of mental shock
!
Yes you'll view victims of your human pride
Hallucinating creatures
        Crazed into wild eccentricity
        Witlessly submissive to rave!

Welcome to this world and take a free ride
Welcome to this place
        A grand association
        Of human vegetables
!

Welcome to this Sanatorium.
Welcome...
~

--- all imagination... I hope this is scary... if not keep smiling   ---
--- This was inspired by Metallica's song "Welcome Home (Sanatarium)" ---

Hi Sudhir,
this is my favorite part of the poem, but I like it all!  Good Job!

Loners and land sharks
        Wearing caps marked MAD

Yes Sudhir, this scares me, as it I know it is true, mankind is so very scarey....I like the way you presented  this very much...the term "land shark" I havent heard since Frank Zappa did  a song of that title... Thanks  for your contribution,   Steve B

Sudhir, I remember reading this before, still as frightening as ever. Intense and excellent piece.
