As The Poet Yearns
~*Marge Tindal*~

Camera fades in
She sits at the desk
Pen illuminated in hand
by dimly lit screen
Where is the magic
that makes it work

He enters the room
and the magnetism stirs
He sits at the desk
opposite hers

The ink splashes between them
in candled shadows of the indigo skies
Between them now the words burn slowly
Flickering with exhaling of sighs

Pen me when the evening shadows
have danced beyond the hill
Write me while the night
shivers with song of whippoorwill

Cover me in passionate phrases
Lay your body next to mine
I'll be the dream poet brought to life
Stretching this night beyond all rhyme

When tangerine peeks over the horizon
love has taken hold of this sunrising
Pens lay poised as if in flight
Passionate poet phrases
penned parchment in the night

Dear Marge; I am in awe at the exquisite beauty of this romantic and sensual poem!
I want to quote a line, but can't choose, because eveyone is magnificent. Please consider putting this beauty up for the next book? Love, Ellie
P.S.I loved the little flying fairy and thank you so much for all your lovely replies

Glad you enjoyed the juicy color.

I can guarantee you that when the sun
rises over the lake it matches the color
of the tangerines on some of my citrus trees.

Big smiles here.
