This is a test.....this is only a test.. At the sound of the tone, I'll be gone.. You'll never know about all of the rest, Because you let go first.....I held on.. Life is a challenge and I'm running late.. So, I'll pack up my memories and go.. But first, let me tell you what will be your fate.. So that from this day forward, you'll know.. I would have loved you through time and beyond.. But you just couldn't make up your mind.. You couldn't see it was me all along.. I must leave all this heartache behind.. Years will go by and they'll take out their toll.. On your body, your face and your heart.. All love affairs take a piece of your soul, And they empty you right from the start.. You will remember me.....I really cared.. And you'll ask yourself why you let go.. My love will haunt you, the good times we shared.. Could have blossomed, but you'll never know.. So, this is a test.....this is only a test.. Now I'm off to go find the real thing.. I cannot settle for less than the best, And the rest is whatever life brings!!!  Today is a gift.... Man, know why couldn't I find this poem a year ago? Loved it, this is only a test. Sort of like the quote "Life is a test, it is only a test. If it were the real thing you would be given directions on where to go and what to do;-)" Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go. |

Hi Sunny, "All love affairs take a piece of your soul, And they empty you right from the start." These two lines particularly struck me. They speak such truth. There is no substitute for true love and never will be. I enjoyed this one very much, dear friend. Proust- "Love is space and time measured by the heart" |

Damn it!! why are all of these poems making me cry lately??  ...I am not sure i need to read the posts by the same poeple all of the time but then again maybe I DO!!!
