Neptune's Touch
By Theresa Rose

He touches my heart.
He has made me free.
He's taken me by my hand,
He makes me see me.

I see now all that I am,
And all that I could be.
He's taken me from my watery desert
To the shores of a new wide open sea.

Oh how I have yearned,
for so long,
To spread my wings in flight,
But for this pierced dove
of a long drowned love,
The world,
It was too deep in night.

He raises the hands that have
enveloped me.
Hands that have guided me safely to
this shore.
And now,
He opens his hands, so cautiously
Allowing me a chance to soar.

I lift up my wings,
I feel the breeze
And now,
I begin to rise.

He has shown to me
Who I can be
And now,
I no longer see the lies.

Very pretty poem!  I love the reference to Neptune...I'm a big star and planet freak!     You know, there's nothing in this that makes it too "HOT" for adult, you really should consider posting it in Open so that more readers can enjoy it there!  It has some really beautiful thoughts in here I think others would enjoy too!  Just a thought!  Thanks for sharing...

I agree with Femme...this poem is too beautiful to have it cooped up in ADult...but we definitely appreciate it...its always a nice change....insightful and beautiful trose

Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence.

I am so glad that this was moved to the open forums.  I would have hated to miss it.  This is so beautiful in it's content and it's format as well.  The entire piece just flows with love and takes the reader on such a most wonderous journey.
