In the winds of Cherokee song

Dreams

Build your dreams on foundations of stone
This is the message so many wise men say
Plan it work it and tweek it for it is yours to own
Don't live life as if your future is in yesterday

Set your goals with happiness in life as your final win
Tempt not fate against the will of dangerous ventures lost
Find the love of your heart and never look back again
Hold true to that love and never give it up at any cost

Many things in life will come full circle around to you
Many offers of pleasure will surface each and every day
Remember this though as you walk into this day anew
All those temptations are there to steal your true love away

Faithfulness to your heart and to the one that  you love
Will bring you the happiness that you have so often sought
A true love in spirit and heart is sent from the heavens above
It is what many times over men and women have so often fought

So start this day as you wake up to the sun and the breeze
Go out into the world with a plan for all your dreams
Walk in the light of your well thought out plan with ease
Knowing that your devotion to your love is all that it seems

My wish for you all is that you will all find in your life
The happiness I have found in the recent love of my own
My day has come to finally be set free and end my strife
As all of my dreams are now coming to me ready to be sewn

Hi Mark...

I just wanted to say that this is so full of truth and wisdom, but put together in such a wonderful way. I can feel your happiness shining through, and with all my heart I wish you the very best!

Today is a gift....

Mark, this is a beautiful poem! I'm so glad that your dreams are coming into their time. Thanks for giving the rest of us hope as we work to make our dreams come true.

Mark, my dear friend~

As you open your eyes to find the dream
still laying beside you ...
may you know the joy that you each deserve
and have found in one other.

Nice to see the 'cowboy' wearing the brand of love.
No pun on your buns intended !

Mark,

I am so glad that I came in to read this.  This offering of hope is exactly what I needed.

"...So start this day as you wake up to the sun and the breeze
Go out into the world with a plan for all your dreams
Walk in the light of your well thought out plan with ease
Knowing that your devotion to your love is all that it seems..."

Just the inspiration I needed to hear to prepare myself for tomorrow.  Thank you for sharing this.. it has honestly touched me.

And... I'm so glad you are so happy   It is a wonderful thing to see.

Ohh...*sigh*  I DO hope you are contagious, because if everyone lived their life according to this advice, the world would be a much better place to hang out in, you know?  I love the positive "air" about this -this is what I've been attempting to follow just the last few months here...living for tomorrow, and letting go of yesterdays.  So so so much wisdom and truth wrapped up in this - I just hope everyone in this forum reads it, and heeds all the fabulous advice!!  Bravo sir!!  Another one well written - and keep smiling!   Feels good, no?

what can I say Mark, I loved your words of wisdom! We all strive to live our dreams. If we could just begin bit by bit I believe that we could make it a possibility. A little at a time, and build to make a reality.
