A Class In "Smooth"

A night on the town, just me and a few
A dab here, a dusting there, and we’re ready to down a few

Ready to dance and have some fun
Who knows when you might find “the one”

But alas the usual lines begin to flow
From “haven’t I seen you before” to “take me with you when you go”

I started to ponder upon the third come on half baked
That perhaps these men needed a class to take

Come one Come all to a class in Smooth 101
I’ll show you rogues just how it’s done

Look at my eyes not at my chest
Take some notes there will be a test

The class went well and  they all seemed to learn
Then came the Final Test, each waited his turn

One at a time my student’s gave their best line
And one after another my Pupil’s did shine

All passed with flying colors the class a success
They learned to use words like an intimate caress

Out on the town just me and few
Walk in the doors, I spot a student or two

Then a stranger with hair of gold and eyes of blue
walked up to me...I was shaken clean through

He said he had never seen a sparkle quite like mine
and asked to share a moment of my time

Now I the Professor of Smooth 101 knew the lines galore
So drawing on my vast knowledge I uttered....”Uhhhhh...Haven’t I seen you here before?”

I will gaze into your eyes instead of your chest
As long as you wear no name tag to make me fail my test.

Loved it much my friend....now where do I sign up for the class?

Very cute, I think they all need a class. This is great, reading poetry that makes me laugh instead of cry. Loved it!

Loved this- might I suggest a few more hackneyed lines:
"What's your sign?"
"What's a beautiful thing like you doing in a place like this?"
Or the more direct egocentric:
"Your place or mine?"

I can remember a fun lady I met in a meatmarket - The twinkle was mutual - so we spent the night exchanging cliches until I said "I'm the guy your mother warned you about" LOL
