Purple Twilight

In purple haze
of twilight time
he found her
in seasoned rhyme

he saw her form
he caressed her face
he took her to
his strong embrace

he loved her

In daybreak's gleam
he searched his room
such was his dream
now filled with gloom

he loved her

on the street
in broad daylight
he searched first left
then to the right

he scanned all eyes
in those he found
searching for
the ones of brown

he loved her

his mind numb
soul wracked with pain
he went to his room
to await again

the purple haze
of twilight time
to find her
in seasoned rhyme

he saw her form
he caressed her face
he took her in
his strong embrace

and he loved her

I don't even know what to say to this. I guess I just thought it was so sad that he was looking for her and couldn't find her, and I couldn't get past that part of it. Even so, I liked it, Sunshine.

Elizabeth, that you cannot say anything, says a lot. Perhaps some day I will be of your caliber.  Thank you.

Sometimes, we search and find. . . other times, we search and find not. . . and still other times, we search and find too late. . .

Superb poem my friend. . .

I know you know that I love this one.

He loved her and yet tis only a dream
His love trapped inside darkness of night
No sunlight for his love it would seem
Until destiny and patience end his plight

Great write my friend.
