Midnights Rainbow

Prowling clouds crawling across midnight sky
Whispering shadows of shrouded lovers bliss
Peering eyes from the heart and soul of the moon
Gleaming steadily as it watches the world amiss

Tap tap of angel kissed stars join in the dance
Strumming gossip for the night owls to unfold
Moonlit cadence bursting in old familiar tunes
As the pages of our love's story are sung to be told

Quiet rythyms of beating hearts among the night
Lend to the dance the twirls of passionate love song
And tears of willowing paths from the forgotten light
Resting among the notes of Venus where they belong

Gliding eyes of souls sing in the breast of night
Heaving to the ride of visions in this autumn eve
Colors of love and trust drumming off given beat
Searching for the pot of gold in which we believe

Gentle arching beckoning to back the coming surge
Rifs of pleasure walking on metered bars set all aglow
Slow steps of changing chords cascading to the ground
As the dew misted tears of relief bring midnights rainbow

but I would like to again say that this poem shows such growth and poetic grace in you..
your muse is taking you to a higher
level...
very beautiful poem with you special gift of imagery
and its sweetlly laced with a your passion and desire....
steam me screen cowboy LOL

i saw this song...made me think of this poem...
************
Double rainbow against a harvest moon,
maybe its sign ... there is hope for the dreams of two
We better take notice
we'd be fools to look away
That's something you dont see every day ...

This valley runs deep...
its no wonder we got lost
there's a river on fire
and its the one we have to cross
To reach to the other side ...
its gonna take a lot of faith
that's something you dont see everyday...

Mark this is strong colorful imagery. I particularly liked
Quiet rythyms of beating hearts among the night
Lend to the dance the twirls of passionate love song
And tears of willowing paths from the forgotten light
Resting among the notes of Venus where they belong.
Lovely

I've read this a couple of times to capture the beauty and essence of flow that you pen and voila here I am with a comment for you...
"Quiet rythyms of beating hearts among night lend to the dance the twirls of passionate song resting among the notes of Venus where they belong"
O la la...this verse is sweet well actually so is the entire poem!
