Balladeer brought a juicer
To give to his good wife
He had in mind fresh orange juice, for
Each morning of his life

Balladeer shopped alone,
Didn't take his wife along
Bought a great monstrosity
Though, he got it for a song

This juicer, here, would fit the bill
'Deer thought she would be pleased
Although his head was really filled with
Visions of juices, freshly squeezed

He showed it to his wife, who said
I'm not having this thing here
It looks just like a bald man
Do something with it 'Deer

So Balladeer went to his shed
He looked at it, … aware
That it really did look like
A person with no hair

What this juicer needs is
Some personality
He painted on a lovely face
Gleaned from his memory

Then he went a little further
Said it's still not quite done
How about a beard and hair
T'would make it rather fun

Then Balladeer paid attention
to the  face he'd made with care
and it was reminiscent of
the Savior's painting hanging there

The work of art completed
Balladeer returned
Only to hear his good wife say
I'd rather see it burned

Than see it in my kitchen
To use it, … I refuse
So Balladeer was left alone with
Jesus, king of the juice

Sorry for this the poem needed tweaking, and I needed to see the edited version.

Thanks Mark for your comments. I like plays on words and this one struck me as funny.

Thanks 'Deer. does the "X" mean I'm a target or you've crossed me off your Christmas list. *laughs* Oh well it was fun while it lasted.

Serenity.
Thanks. I didn't want it to be too naughty because I don't know 'Deer all that well. Glad it made you laugh.
Be well

Marge. Thanks for the belly laughs, I appreciate them. As for the knowing Deer well do you think I planned that to be funny?

LM. Nice huh. Guess I'll have to try harder. Now what do you need to be lampooned about hmmm.

Paula. So glad you thought it was funny. See you could be an Aussie after all, with that sense of humor.

Be well

What a way to end a night at work!
People staring at me while I laugh at my monitor.
You brought smiles to a few faces tonight!
Excellent poem Kethry!
