           “MOONCHILD GIRL”

You are enchanting, and a Moonchild girl,
reaching higher, towards the brightest moon.
Gazing skyward with your wide open eyes,
arms outstretched in awe, for your tribune.

Lovingly chasing moonbeams here and there,
which shine down from the sky, with their light.
And as you are swaying gently back and forth,
you tenderly pursue them, late, into the night.

A special night it was, seeing you chasing the glow,
running and hair a flowing, all in a modest swirl.
My, you were truly such a beholding sight,
you’re just a most beautiful, Moonchild girl.

And then you caught your special moonbeam,
over there, in the middle of the silent meadow!
You embraced it in your arms, and were enraptured,
and round and round you went, as you were all aglow!

Hair twirling around, and your body in tune,
dancing and prancing, as you held one in your hand!
Softly singing and holding the guiding light so close,
happiness reigned inside you, in this reverie meadowland.

Chase your moonbeams sweet Moonchild girl,
do it with all of that gracious, and loving heart.
And when you follow your dreams, with soft smiles,
your moonbeams and you, will never, be apart.

Good Evenin', Bill...
I stopped chasing moonbeams long enough to tell you how enchanting this poem is!!  I truly love it, and it makes me want to run barefoot in the meadow in the dark!!  Beautiful thoughts!!

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

Good morning Maureen,
Thank you for your soft comments, and for coming by. Remember, things will change with time, they always do and always will. And you will find that serene meadow, or perhaps it will find you Moonchild Girl. Thanks again.
