Murphy's Law is at it again,
He's been proving himself everyday,
Giving me headaches and costing me sleep,
And leaving me no time to play.
The computer we ordered went elsewhere,
Those gremlins are laughing at me,
I'm stuck with somebody elses,
And can't talk with the powers that be!
The school we built's not quite ready,
So opening may be delayed,
As the President of the School Board,
My nerves are just a bit frayed.
The wallpaper just hung in a bedroom,
Decided to not "stick" around,
Slowly peeling away from the wall,
And finding it's way to the ground!
The dog is having a problem with fleas,
The cat has lost his mind,
I won't even get into the kids forays,
That would be TOO unkind.
The lawnmower has talked with it's union,
And decided to go on strike,
So I'll just say to heck with it all
And go take a long, long hike!!!

Love this Bonnie! Life does have a way of taking charge sometimes! And who is this Murphy guy anyway!? Why did the 'law' get named after him?

Murphy's Law is somewhat akin to Gilligan's Island, don't you think?

Heheeee!!!  )
What a great idea to write about this!
Somedays are just one trouble after another... Hate it! (the day, not the poem of course   )

ROFL! Ain't it great to be a poet, Bonnie, where, when all else fail, we can at least write about it and get some steam off? Great job.....

BSC Did anyone ever tell you about the law of diminishing returns. You only have to have one thing go right when seventeen others have gone wrong and it keeps you in there plugging. Thanks for the great read so glad others have days like those.
Keep smiling-it makse others wonder what you've been up to.

Bonnie~
You have got a great sense of humor.
And thank goodness, the words to lay it
on the line !

Very nicely done.

All right Bonnie! LOL I know how frustrating it can be!  Now, stop for a moment and be thankful the bread didn't land butter side down on the new carpet!    LOL

I love this one! Describes my life these last couple years LOL....

Oh what adoubly wonderful way to wake up this morning! Poetry that is wonderfully, cleverly written. I love waking up to a poem that makes me giggle a little. Thank YOU!!!

I know! Oh my gosh, I can relate to this! Doesn't it seem that not only that whatever can go wrong, will go wrong, bit it all goes wrong at the same time?

Well, glad to here the school is opening on time (but I bet the students aren't feeling that way !   )

Good work!

Elizabeth
