I’m sorry but I don’t have time to talk
I seem to have lost my mind and
whatever you are selling
is of no use to me
today. I don’t need anymore vacuums or
life insurance or encyclopedias.
If you wanted though,
you could come in and help me
search for my thoughts,
which once, were so carefully collected,
but now,
are scattered into the darkest corners
of this old, dusty house.
I would really like that, I
could use the help if you have a moment.
Sometimes,
all a body needs is another kind soul
to lend a hand.
Not today?
I understand, I really do.
You have a job to do.
Life goes on.
It’s ironic isn’t it?
I don’t have time to talk and
you don’t have time to help.
Time is certainly in short supply these days.

Yeahhhhh so where did it go anyway?  I could have sworn that there use to be at least 24 hours in a day.  Wonder how I keep losing them all.  Wonderful piece here.  Great write.

Great message here...exactly why I like to stop and smell the roses.   Nice write, Debbie.

Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence.
