- A little something I wrote when my girlfriend left for college. All my writings are usually inspired by love / sadness for some reason..

-----------

When i think of you, I see someone pure and true,
I often wonder why I deserve someone like you,
When I hear your voice softly call my name,
I feel so warm inside, devoid of pain,
When i think of you, all the troubles of my world cease,
Never has my heart felt such peace,

Visions of you in my dreams is all I see,
Words alone can't explain what you mean to me,
although you are away, you are always in my heart,
no distance from you can make my love fall apart,
Joyful memories of you is all I see.
All i ever wanted was to hold you close to me,
I wish there was some way I could tell you,
In words.. how much I love you....

If i had just one wish, It would be to hold you in my arms,
Comfort, protect you, and keep you warm,
With your beautiful eyes staring straight into mine
Thoughts of love overcome my mind,
I ask the lord what did I do do deserve this?
Every moment I spend with you is pure bliss,
Like Romeo and Juliet, our loves shines brighter than the sun,
A burning fire in our souls that will forever rage on

All I want is to see your warm smile, your soft kiss,
My heart has never experienced true love like this,
I know deep inside you love me for who I am,
Feeling honored, but wishing I was a better man,
I pray to the lord every night that this will never end,
I just have to be strong, hold on until the day we meet again,
but until then....
I wish there was some way to tell you in words..
How much I love you...

you know, this poem was written a year ago, she couldn't wait for me. we did meet again, even though we share the same feelings, I am still willing to wait for her forever, but I don't think she is into commitment as much as I am.. sigh... That's where I got my name. I am in love with someone far away, that I know I have no chance to be with again, love was never a problem, it's all about distance. I know she still holds feelings for me (she tells me), but one day I totally hope she can wait for me... She hasn't necessarily been an angel, but no matter what she does, or says, I can never shake my feelings for her.  Although after the break-up, I haven't necessarily been an angel.. had several other girlfriends, but it just seemed wrong, and ever since then I haven't had the ability to fall in love with another.. is this normal? Or is insanity giving me a desire for writing poetry or music? For some reason I have never written any type of poetry / songs until I met her. It kind of created a little spark in my creativity / expressing my feelings. I don't know if I am making real sense in what I am saying.. But i need to express my feelings and not keep them bottled up all the time. I feel some place like this, would be a nice place to unload my emotions. Thank you for the card, and the compliments, they are much appreciated

Lyrical, romantic piece you have penned here...a year ago, hm?  Can we all assume that your recent things are EVEN better? that would be hard...I love this!!!!

welcome!  I really enjoyed this poem.  It may have sadness, but it also has joy... the joy you feel when you're with her.  once again, welcome.

well I am glad to see that you like this writing. Actually lately, I have been a loner, just "waiting for the one", or waiting for my ex from last year to return... Kind of funny hearing that from a 21 year old, but even young guys aren't all dogs. I just hope I can meet someone in the future, or my ex appreciates me as much as you have for my writing... thanks a lot, I'll try to write some more   I have some, but most of them are music. Lots of em have swearing in them, so I can't post those.. mebbe i can make a few clean ones for ja   btw i have one of my songs posted on here. let me know if you like it =)

I hope you NEVER change. You made me laugh when you said not all 21 year old's are "DAWGS!"  Ruff!  lol I sure wish we could take all life's lesson's and learn them in "one class"......I guess we learn as we go.
As for your poem, so very tender and romatic...and you had the "flow" goin on....With a heart like yours and the fact that you can express your felings is a beaautiful thing. YOu DESERVE someone who will return them with the same passion. You will find her...probably when you least expect it.

Take care and WELCOME!!!!!

see you around

If I should fall again, then they will laugh but what if just this one I rise?

Your poem is very touching.  Maybe because I'm going through the same situation.  My poems seem to fall along the same lines.
Truley great work from fellow hopeless romantic.

thanks to you all   it's really a good stress reliever sharing my work. Actually I have only been writing poetry / music for one year, like i said this girl was a "spark" to my artistic side. I try to make everything flow since, i try to make songs out of all my writings... Anyway, I'm glad you liked it.. really there's nothing to it, just grab a pen and spill your thoughts..

I just sarted writing poems in june of this year, and I was also sparked by an amazing women named Kelley.  She broke up with me on easter.  They only reason we broke up is because she is going to school.  But enough of that.
I think I finally found the key to writing.  I can't just sit down and write a poem.  Only when something pops in my head usually a memory, a thought, a special time, or a devistaing heart being broken.
I'm still dealing with my pain.
For her it just hit her like a ton of bricks.
Well I hope to see more of your poems.

Hopeless Romantic. Welcome to passions we can always use more of your kind here. You have steered a careful path in this poem avoiding the rocks of treachery, running through deep waters of emotion, and I can hear the soul lost cry of the gull spanning the distance calling your true love. But I rave. Great first post.
be well

Hey Hopeless Romantic
Welcome to passions! You're poem is so beautiful, and yes, it is OK to feel like this. Obviously the unusual things, the strongest emotions are the ones who make us want to express ourselves. Don't change! I'm so glad there are still romantics left on this earth, especially among men. Especially among young man   What can I say, it is hard to love somebody when we have only the slightest chance to be with... but that's just how it is, some people in our lives just get deep under our skin, into our bones and you just can't shake them off... From someone who really understands where you're comming from, don't give up!!! Wow, I really blabbed a lot here... Welcome to passions again!!! Take care!

Welcome to Passions!  A formidable first post, I might add.
Never let your romance die.  There are so few truly unabashed romantic guys in the world, it's good to see another!
Perhaps another to walk in the realm of Sir Sven?!?
Keep writing from the heart and sharing them with us!
