Listening to every heart

she gave you shy smiles
and sincere wishes

visceral dreams
and serene comfort

all in a glance
a spot of romance

gilded with crystalline
edges
and hollyhock garden ledges

she warmed your soul
took control
let you rise and fall
so softly

she was there
then she was not

but a whisper in your ear
and a shiver up your spine

small hairs raised on your arm
yet no feel of alarm

because the warmth stays
in the sun’s rays

and in the shy of her smile

I don't know about anyone else but it was certainly medication for me.
