Long John went to see his shrink
His confidence was shook
He'd lost it somewhere in a dream
He felt he'd be forsook

'Twas terrible' ol Longjohn said,
'It was the worst dream ever'
'Tis fine' said the psychiatrist,
'Your cure is my endeavor!"

'Just lay your head upon the couch
And put your feet up here,
Now tell me all about your dream,
Was it of Balladeer?'

'Nay!' said Long John feeling worse,
'I dreamed there was a chorus,
of dancing girls all around me,
such beauty they were gorgeous!"

'Blondes, brunettes, and redheads there,
All clad in slinky sequins,'
'Doesn't sound so bad to me' said the doctor
'go on speaking.'

'Oh no!', said Long John 'you don't understand,
The worst is yet to come,
I said I was surrounded there,
For I was the red-headed one!!!'

Lol! What a funny poem... you should send it to someone who's spirits are down... that'll really boost them up!

Well, I can imagine LongJohn dreaming that since sequins are standard dress. Lorelei said he was a drag but I had no idea....

I like an equal opportunity slammer...

Reb you really put your sole into this poem and your heel into Long John's back.Is Long John really that mch of a drag. Well done.
I haven't laughed this hard since I descovered nitros-oxide.

but it is the loss that shapes the image,
gathers the flowers weaves the garland."-
