Enjoying The Moment

Hands travel across the canvas,
embracing by-gone May days--
Unashamed the years her
wrinkled skin expresses.

Raised, dark veins and swollen joints
flow with vibrant paints.
Her love of life is brushed
with sculptured nails and age spots
into the thirsty cloth.

Confident fingerstrokes
invite shade of laughter--
Rainbows splash
onto a heart that has not
forgotten how to laugh.

  Hi Chanson...

Now this one I shall keep forever!! I loved it, and this line brightened my very soul:

"Rainbows splash onto a heart that has not forgotten how to laugh"........Oh, you did magic with these words.....I thank you!!

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

I especially loved these lines

~*Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden
when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being
loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring.
