Never thought this would happen
That love would find me this way
Experienced in this hard world
You’ve truly blown me away

Your friends are so dismayed
My friends say we are fools
But we can’t stop this loving
Though it breaks all the rules

You are my California dream
Your smile melts my heart
And though you are younger
You’ve captured this woman’s heart!

Now we face each new day together
Enduring each stare, each secret smirk
Soul mates against all life’s odds
Determined to make this work.

It turned out just perfect! I love it Sharon!
This sounds like my husband and me LOL, though people tried to keep us apart, and my parents didn't like him, we're still together 16 years later!

Dear Sharon; being an incurble romantic myself.... I fell in love with your poem and I am soooo happy for you! Go for the whole gift you've been given, and live every minute to the fullest. Love, Ellie

Ah...true love finds its ways to people in the most unrecognizable forms... wonderful words of love you have celebrated here.

Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance

OOOOOh, Sharon! *wink wink*

This is a beautiful love poem. Don't listen to what anyone else says, just listen to your heart. (But I don't need to tell you that!   )

other times it dreams,
some times the future
or what we think it seems.
Regardless it's great work...I like it

Thank you all for your kind replies. What is an older woman to do when she 'falls' for a younger man? It's ok for a man to fall for someone younger..it's a backslapping, well done, good ole' boy tradition! But for women? It's looked at as somehow wrong!

Strange, it always seemed to me that a man who fell for a younger woman was looked at as a 'pervert' and no one approved.

PdV - Whether this is autobiographical or not...y'done good!

Now, if it is autobio - take care of that heart of yours...

If it's a crock - go for the gusto and spin another spell, weave another weave, and loop another loop!

All right hold it right there!!
This is the Love Police!
May I see some identification please?
There has been reports of a woman and a
young man breaking love rules around here.
Now there can only be heart melting if the hearts
get warmed up again later on!
All right will you two separate your lips for just a….
HEY!! PUT HER DOWN!!

Partner call in for backup NOW!!!
We have a code 1 in progress!!

OK Buddy take it real easy! Just put the woman down!
Are you OK ma'am?
                                 "Yes, I'm in love"
Now listen if this is an emergency just jump in your car
and follow me I can get you two to her place a lot quicker.
I'll just put on the sirens and the flashing lights and we will
not stop for any red lights on the way!!
I'll be watching in my rearview mirror so keep your hands
where I can see them. That goes for the both of ya!!
