Do I ?

Do I need to say the words...
when you can feel it in my heart
The longing in the breaths I take...
every second we are apart

Do I need to write the words...
when I pick out a card just for you
As tears of joy stream down my face
As each day I know that overnight it grew

Do I need to carve it in stone...
for all the world to rejoice in this
With heartfelt dreams and memories
Carrying the photographs of our bliss

Do I need to surround you...
in rose petal baths and walks at night
Holding you in my arms as we kiss the stars
and gaze upon the splendor of heaven's light

Do I need to put it down in rhyme...
so you will know the strength of it all
Knowing all along that you need not speak
for me to feel when you are forced behind a wall

Do I need those three little words...
for you to know...do they mean that much
Or are you happy sharing all the sensations
when our hearts are joined with the slightest touch

No I think not...
as you show me each and every day
That this bond we have connecting us
continues to grow and strengthen in every way

For my (L**E)....she knows she feels she breathes!

Hey Mark- and you accused me of cheating *laughs* ****d the poem, so true and actions do speak louder that words, although the words are nice to hear.

Wilfred thank you so much.  I often wish I could have her speak for me as well.

Kethry-yes my friend they are nice to hear and that is why we use them but is the real meaning being tossed around too much or is it simply hearts of friends and mates using what little voice they have.  Thanks my poetic friend.

This is so beautiful...the actions are only a bonus when the feeling is there, the heart and soul that you've written with exceed any other gift...with out heart and soul, what is there?  You've penned a beautiful heart felt weave~

I think the "telling" is in everything we do, not always the words, but yes, sometimes the words. Lovely, Mark.

Mark, the poem is great but I can give you the answer based on many years of experience and hard lessons.....do you have to say the words?

Y E S !!!!!

I don't care what they say....they want to hear the words.....very,very important to them. TRUST ME!!!!

Maria-thank you so much.

Balladeer-I trust you my friend and I say them to her everyday.  More than once believe me.  I don't say them just to please her though.  Her beauty in heart makes me want to say them but in turn when there are those times that she NEEDS to know....and I am not around or I for some reason dont say them at the right time, then she will know.  I have the security in my love to know that a simple "ear" to her needs and wants will get me alot further in our love than a few words and that is why they are said here so often.  Thank you kind sir.  Didn't mean to reply so heavily and I "AM NOT" preaching believe me.  Your wisdom and sincerity is much appreciated.  Thank you again.

Jenn E-Thank you so much my poetic friend.  Where you been lol.  MY heart is quite full of rainbows and butterflies these days and I thank you for you sweet caring always.

Mark,
you know how I feel about this one. . . how any Romantic would feel. . . your heart shows here and the love that you feel for Holly is very evident. . . such words can only be spoken by a heart in love. . .

A tip of this Knight's lance to both of you. . . and a prayer for thee and thy love that you will find that happiness that all of us seek. . .

A most beautiful poem. . .

Actions truly speak louder than words and you have conveyed this so very beautifully.  Just because someone says "I love you" doesn't really mean they do.  Strive everyday to SHOW love and forever it shall be.

I think this poem flowed right out of your heart and onto the paper, without a thought, and the muse? Well, that was your heart speaking for you.
Very beautiful

Ok, I know I was here once but I gotta tell you. I feel so much happiness here. All this love just flowing, flowing, OVER flowing. It is just so beautiful second time around. You have such a beautiful heart I am not even sure how to tell you. I am just so over whelmed and proud of this show of true heart felt love I am not sure what more to say. As for "WHO" ot is written for makes my heart smile a million smiles, of which I need. Thank you for loving her and sharing thid love with all of us. Ok, ready...my cheeks are raised and this smile goes straight to you......

More color to you every read, I wonder how that is possible.....mmmmmm, what happens when I run out of colors....hell what am I saying you have a pallet that is unique to just you!!!

Mark you have done it again such words could only spark the love you speak of. Yes saying I love you is good, but when your actions speak and say it that's what really counts. Of course I can tell you already know this.
