In the space between moments

Moonglow's held in swells of steam
While waters softly churn
Moments slow in liquid glimmer
And ivory candles burn.

Bubbles float upon the breath
Of Autumn's wafting breeze,
Clinging to her hair of gold
As threads of starlight tease.

Droplets slide upon her skin
Touched in snowy hue
Freesia hints within the air
Mingling with crystal dew.

Daydreams fall as water cools
And fantasy drains away
Sweet release found in her bath
Will come another day...

Silken sheets fold 'round her form
Now falling into sleep
Moonglow's held within her eyes
And her soul the stars will keep.

Mmm.. Wonderful imagery! I feel ready for a nice hot bath now.. I adored the first verse and this one too:

"Daydreams fall as water cools
And fantasy drains away
Sweet release found in her bath
Will come another day..."

I love, "And fantasy drains away." Water is like our fantasies and dreams, shifting and changing and flowing... Glittering and refreshing... Anyways, LOL, I loved this poem!

Ah, Krista...what an ethereal scene, one of peace and contemplation, of delicious sensuality and innocence found. I absolutely love this, and am very pleased that you thought enough of my poem to compose this beauty.

You are, indeed, a gifted poet, and are on your way to the stars.

All my best,
Claire

Oh my! This was such a serene and beautiful poem. I was in that bath, experiencing it all. Wonderful writing and use of descriptive terms and imagery, all to capture a mere moment in time.
I loved this
