You and I, my love, together are one -
Just like the sky and the morning sun.
I am the torch, you are its fire;
You are the current, I am the wire.
Apart we would be like a bird without flight,
A rose void of scent, the day without night.
Who has experienced great joy without laughter
Or a memorable tale with no. . . ever after?
And just as there is no land without sea,
I cannot imagine a you without me.

For R, the love of my life.  You've only been gone for a couple of hours, yet I miss you so much already.

Brandyn - this poem is so tight!  And that is meant in a good way.  The similes are so right om the mark, and it all ties together perfectly, including the order in which it is all written.  Terrific writing, lady.

Brandyn~
Enjoyed the thoughts.
Particularly this -

'You are the current, I am the wire.'

Now is that anyway to conduct yourself !

Brandyn , a beautiful and tender poem, very romantic.
