Gentle heart
I know that you've felt much pain
And that you've said
"I'll never feel that way again"
But what have you missed
Since you've closed your heart?
Have you missed the love of one
That's been with you from the start?

Gentle heart
I know that inside you still
Beats a tender love
That cries out to be fulfilled
A love for which you've yearned
Every empty day and every lonely night
But since you can't find it
You wonder, "Is is worth the fight?"

Gentle heart
I know that you want to walk away
But please my love
Stay with me just one more day
Stay and see the love I have
Stay and feel the love I show
Stay and hear the words I sing
As every day my love for you grows

Gentle heart
This is the love that I have for you
A love that heals
And will be for as long as you live
But you must open your heart
To learn that which I teach
Because a heart that will not open
Is so difficult to reach

Sven, you have simply out outdone yourself with this one.  I think this one is my new favourite of yours.  You say so much with such simple words.

Sven~
You cause the emission of many sighs -

'Gentle heart
This is the love that I have for you
A love that heals
And will be for as long as you live
But you must open your heart
To learn that which I teach
Because a heart that will not open
Is so difficult to reach'

Beautiful, my friend.

Sven, what a gentle heart "you" are, my friend. I love the way you've incorporated the line into such a moving poetic appeal. Just beautiful...
