It begins with a note, a trump sound so clear
Then it crescendos hurting the ear
A subtler tone in harmony sweet
Masking the melody, moving the feet.

The sun slowly rises caresses the earth
A taste of the future, an awakening birth
A cacophony of color, purple, red, gray
Molded together to greet this new day.

An orb in the sky of russet and gold
and this day in promise and favor foretold.
The trees stretching upwards, towards the light
Awakening slowly,  shedding the night

The colors explode to drown out all blight
Birds all awake, beginning their flight.
The day begins; all things are new
The promise of hope, a gift given so true.

but it is the loss that shapes the image,
gathers the flowers weaves the garland."-

Thank-you for the WOW, Sudhir.

ethome- Thank-you, I agree, dawn is the best time of day when you've slept before to see it.

Sunny1 - I love the dawn when I'm in the mountains -as I was. It's an experience that involves, sound, sight, smell, touch and taste. Imagine this if you will. Dawn in the mountains rising slowly,a blaze of color, birds twittering as they awake, dew on the eucalypt trees giving off the most amazing scent, the chill of mist on your skin, and at the back of your throat the taste of coffe hot and strong. This is why it's my favourite time.

Be well
Kethry
