The Flame

I stare at the soothing
Flicker of the dancing flame
The hypnotizing rhythm
Cutting through my
Jumbled and hectic thoughts
Wavering subtle light
Casting soft shadows
Swaying seductively
It’s tranquil movement
Soothing away the stress
That builds in my
Overwhelmed consciousness

Wonderful.  Just thought soothes me.  My first thought was looking into the fire place myself and drifting into never, never land.  Greatly written.

~The flame,...it's calming isn't it to watch it's light,...it's flickering dance,...it's voice in a way. I truly enjoyed this piece. Very nice. Love how you referred it cutting through your hecticness,...that was good! Take care. *Peace.

Wow! I was working on a similar piece to this with the same name. I have laid down my pen and folded away the paper....you have captured it perfectly! Excellent work.
