She Haunts

Each morning she tries to capture your dream
As she wakes too early, to sun's touch of glow.
In a blink of an eye, as hers open, it seems
You were here, she is left with that warmth that you sow.

Stretching, her being, refreshed by your want
Searching for words, of a leftover feel.
Satin red dressed, she entices, she haunts,
This ghost of a woman, so sensually real.

You can't resist her, though trying at times
A web she has weaved, to capture you in.
Words so endearing, and soft smiles she mimes,
When in heart, it's the pleasures she gathers of sin.

You've met her before, she's the one resting near
At arms length you touch, caress image seen.
When closer, her scent of vanilla, you fear
As desires are rising, then towards her, you lean.

A gentlest touch to her cheek, makes her smile.
Your lips can't say no, to hers waiting for kiss.
The pounding increases, as if run a mile.
Intensely, she presses, she needs what has missed.

Your arms still her trembling, your eyes hold her gaze.
A gift, she has offered, as softly she clings.
In the mist of forever,  her memory stays
Becomes part of you, in each touch that she brings.

Wondering why, and what shall become
Of these dreamers who wish for some happiness.
Each morning they rise to the hopes,  of  each one
Awaiting the moments, a touch of the "bliss".

Wow...this was eerie, yet romantically sad somehow.  I think I need to read it again to soak it all up though.  Very intense piece, but I liked it alot!  It's those late night yearnings that seem to keep one from peaceful sleep.  I have my own fair share of those that constantly haunt me too.  *sigh*  Lovely read.

A hauntingly beautiful piece Maureen.
