Listening to every heart

Patterns

Patterns fall so softly, slowly
Over life and all its forms
Shadows of the nether world
Are by no means in their norm

Life can switch so easily
With one breathless sigh
Eyes can lock and moments lapse
In a calm, sweet by and by

Like a leaf which soon will skip
In fall’s great shifting gales
It once clung to the tree of life
Before it loosed and fell

Like a love that needs forgot
And put behind forever
Patterns sometime need be broke
But not when one says “never”

Sunshine a stunning poem, beautiful.

Life can switch so easily
With one breathless sigh
Eyes can lock and moments lapse
In a calm, sweet by and by

Like a love that needs forgot
And put behind forever
Patterns sometime need be broke
But not when one says “never”

I like, Sunshine, this one has me examine self, look for those "patterns" that need breaking. Very good writing. Love, marcy

Nothing's worse than inertia
a stagnation of thoughts in life
All things need to change
and one has to forever adapt life

...

Wonderful and wise...

regards to you Karilea,
sudhir

Oh I enjoyed this Karilea! Patterns are but blueprints ... we can follow them, or choose to change the plans a bit.    I loved the way you've expressed your thoughts here in this lovely poem!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Butterflies, Jenn...thank you! I am simply amazed anymore at the responses I get...but I won't paraphrase "you like me, you really like me!"  oops!
