Man! They were good times,
Clarkesville on the radio.
When all of the songs rhymed
And make-up was day glo!

We 'crashed' at our 'pad' then,
The concerts were 'groovy'
And you didn't need finance
Just to see the latest movie!

Man! They were good times.
The sky was so blue,
The Summers were longer
I'm dead sure it's true!

I can't quite remember
What turned the world grey;
What led us to this point
We stand at today.

Or maybe it's just
That our youth's in the past,
But Man! They were good times
Yeah....we had us a blast!

Hi Debbie,

Good one, but your age is showing a bit, my dear.    I remember those days very well, so I guess my age must also be showing.  And you know, I believe the skies were somewhat more blue.

Glad you liked this one.
I don't care if it does show my age, I had a blast in the 60's.....just wish I could do it again!!!

Absolutely wonderful!  And I firmly believe growing up had a lot to do with 'the turning the world grey'...like BILLS, RESPONSIBILITY,(and not to be nasty as I love them dearly) KIDS, and all the "wonderful" things it takes to be a responsible, self-sufficient adult/family.

But MEMORIES are wonderful...definitely God's gift to man. 'LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!!'

(I was 17 in ' 60 BTW - wonderful times.)
