My Dearest Grandfather

All the precious memories, with my grandfather I shared.
He holds a place in my heart, because he always cared.
He always knew what to say, when I needed a friend.
And now I wish , more time I could spend.

Hearing his stories, and watching him smile.
If we could only be together again, just for a while.
I’d tell him how much  he’s missed, and how much I love him.
What a wonderful man.  There’s no one else above him.

To be your grandson, truly makes me proud.
We’ll meet in Heaven some day, upon a beautiful cloud.
I have learned so much, from what grandpa has shown.
My grandfather is one of the greatest men, I’ve ever known.

What a flowing tribute...

Your affection shows and shine through... in all effervescence...

This lovely verse made me think of my own Grandfather and my Father. If I can relate to a poem then I can enjoy it even more. Thanks for the memories!

How sweet this is. He is smiling on you wherever he is. This poem has a beautiful rythym to it...words are perfect. My grandfather has raised me and is like a father to me. He is very old and you have made me realize alot here. Thank You.
