I wake up every morning
And crave to smell your hair
To feel you lay beside me
Just empty space is there
I thought that I was over the pain of love so lost
But every time your mentioned
My heart turns into frost
It hardens deep inside me
No relief for it in sight
Afraid of all the yearnings
Afraid of living life
Each day that passes over
I try to keep in view
But everything is distant
My thoughts are back on you
The memories are fading
And all they leave are doubt
This life that I am leading
Has strayed off of its route
So forgive me if I’m whining
These thoughts I’ll not pretend
Show any signs of healing
This love just will not mend
I’ll let this continue burning
Condemn my soul to be
Lost and ever lonely
You meant the world to me
We were not just a passing
I’ve looked at this my best
For such pain continues lasting
I’ve no more time for rest
Move forward with the notion
And let my pain subside
Give up on this devotion
Stop feeding myself lies
Our time together is over
And now its time to go.

Spiked, this piece says so much about the struggles of lost love, and abrupt endline made an effective symbolic impact.
