A Moment Of Peace (A Touch Of Serenity)

My town, a place of lasting peace
Where my troubles begin to ease,
My home, next to a serene tree
Where I feel so unbound and free.

Behind my home, a silken river flows
Amid lush greens, she dances free,
Full moon shines in a celestial glow
Reflecting smiles through the tree.

Yesterdays take me to summer days
When in the river, I used to swim,
Childhood visions lend their gaze
Of happiness, filled up to the brim.

Fruit of a waterfall, down she came
Her beauty remains, as ever famed;
Her thoughts, even today, bring glee
Enticing me, towards her, to flee.

Butterflies, doves, honey-suckled bees
Invite me to join a dance and to sing,
To rejoice free, in a moment of peace,
An instant of an ecliptic diamond ring.

~seeking harmony and tranquillity, who isn't?~

Oh Sudhir, what a joy this is to read. I could see this place and all the visions so clearly. Adding it to my library. Thanks my friend.

Hey Sudhir this is a beauty...what a beautiful place you have described, I can see how you miss it so. Love the ramble through the lines and the serenity is well captured in the mood.....ecliptic diamond ring... there are several million people that could use one of those...have a nice day..

Oh what lovely images this creates Sudhir.  There are 3 waterfalls within 2 miles of my home, and niagara falls is only 50 miles away, the rivers and the falls certainly give much inspiration.  This is beautiful.  Bonnie

Save me and mine a spot next to the silken river, in the full moon; beautifully done.
