FOREST FIRES RAGING

Smoke in the distance
Billows in tropical heat ~
Wind dances with fire

...ah, the HAIKU bug has bit me hard...

Oh by the way I meant this poem is your best one yet in this style...I definitely don't think this is the best style you use, or the best poem you have written, not by any stretch of the imagination, some of your other works are marvelous... just thought I'd clear that up.

Sudhir - Your haikus are making me want to write them also - not only are they habit forming, they are contagious!

So... this one's for you

Poet's thoughts leap out,
Held tightly by Sudhir's leash:
Creativity!

Hey!  I did it!  And there isn't ONE mention of kitties in the whole thing!  Incidently - it describes you to a tee!

My Guardian Angel of Grace

Sudhir is the early bird
Reads every single little word
That has been posted through the night
Before the mockingbird takes flight

He makes his comments, then moves on
The thoughts that he has dwelt upon
And posts his poems and his replies
Before we open up our eyes

He’s delving deep into Haiku
There’s Haiku 1 and Haiku 2
And now he’s posted Haiku 3
His I.Q.’s just too high for me

But now I found I have in place
My own Guardian Angel of Grace
He reads my poem and finds a glitch
Reports a word that I should switch

He e-mails me the found mistake
And not a moment do I take
To make the needed spelling change
From an editor of distant range

Correction’s made, he’s saved me face
He’s my Guardian Angel of passions Grace
And what I think is really neat
It’s done while everyone’s asleep

Thanks, Sudhir
And incidentally, you've conquered the Haiku
Liz

Sudhir's Haiku bug
spreads contagion everywhere
soon all write this way

Be well, good Haiku.

Sudhir....let's hope the bug becomes your constant companion!!  This is timely, and paints a picture of what a forest fire is....very scary, and sad in it's devastation...

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!
