I sit alone outside your door
As a spider crawls across your floor
No rhythm and no rhyme
To the funny path he seems to find
And I wondered if he knows
His destiny is what I chose
To let him crawl away and then
To change my mind and step on him

Please Note:  No spiders were harmed or injured during the making of this poem.

I really don't think he/she (if there is gender in such a small species) knows that you allowed it to live. But I'm glad you did, my old grandad always said spiders were very important in the cycle of nature. They are such predators and keep the insect population in sync.

I like your handle Ladysixstring are you a guitarist?

Seems that action changed but a letter, from squash to squish.
