If I could write like Byron..make my thoughts and visions flow
Or paint a picture with the grace of Michaelangelo
If I described perfection in the way great writers do
I'd still find I could not create the beauty that is you.

If I could take the light of dawn as sun begins to rise
Then blend it with the brightness in a newborn infant's eyes
And color it with butterflies and moisten it with dew
It still would fall quite short of all the beauty that is you.

I find myself still mesmerized by all your charm and grace.
I know there is a God above. I see Him in your face...
I pity those who cannot see your wonders as I do
For they will never realize the beauty that is you.

So, please, my lover, dry your tears. Let pain and sorrow cease.
To me you'll always represent Life's greatest masterpiece.
All pain and fear will disappear as we begin anew
And I will cherish every day the beauty that is you.

Oh my!  I don't know whether to be touched by the beauty of this piece or to be mad 'cause it's not for me.     This is so sweet and tender, Balladeer.

Balladeer~
What a lovely poem.
Such graceful rhythm flowing through this piece.

'If I could take the light of dawn as sun begins to rise
Then blend it with the brightness in a newborn infant's eyes
And color it with butterflies and moisten it with dew
It still would fall quite short of all the beauty that is you.'

Sweet, sweet poet .... Byron's got nothing on you ! !

This is exquisite !

i certainly know that i'm not a good enough writer to describe perfection   , but i think this is probably one of the most perfect and beautiful poems  i have ever read... I love it!
YOU are the michaelangelo of verse and the words you paint make my heart sing.

'Deer - you silver-tongued devil!  Lookee at how all the ladies are swooning - have you no discipline?  You've gotta watch where you point that pen, you scalawag.  This is another classic Balladeer poem.  Smooth flowing, great similes, and romantic enough to weaken feminine knees.

LngJhn, I hear ya dude.  That swanky Balladeer has done and did it, makin all dem ladies swoon like dat.  Now, pickin up a swooned lady from da floor ain't no problem...but pickin up five or six of em, well, my back ain't what it used to be...reckon we can get a flatbed?

Mike, is all seriousness, this one was absolutely beautiful.  You do have a way with words.  Are you positive you're not Shakespeare re-incarnated?

How wonderful to be able to see beauty inside and out!
I too was swept off me feet reading this!
No need to pitty those who don't know her...you've just introduced her to all of us with your words!
Oh the feeling to be admired so much by someone!
Sounds like a very special person 'deer.
Wonderful poem!

Bal, this is a really beautiful piece, and I was surprised that you left out that last verse. You know the one about you singing this lovely piece while looking in the mirrow and tieing your tie.

this is beautiful, I just love it when a man is not afraid to write of the beauty in the object of his love...it matters not how anyone else perceives her, we see her as beautiful alsobecause you wrote her so

Yanno, Dear one... people are going to wonder why I'm such an unappealing shade of green. *S* But how I do envy someone seen through loving eyes... instead of a mirror that refuses to lie! *S* Great poem!
