Dark, striated sky
interwoven blue and grey,
threaded by lightning.
Heavenly seamstress at work
sewing patterns in the clouds.

Oh, this is so lovely
Can you tell me what a tanka is
I'd love to try it
The result is beautiful, at least when written by you

Jonnak~
A lovely verse ...
the Tanka format works wonderfully here.
You've written a beauty.

Thank you all for reading.  Thanks to kaile for bumping, I was pleasantly surprised to see it again.  As far as me giving instruction on this form, I found a great site at: netpoets.com/pip/Forum27/HTML/001723.html

I wish I could remember which poet here put me on to this site, but I cannot.  I would suggest a venture to this site, is a keeper.

Thanks to all,
Joanna
