One poem
That's all I want to write
One poem
That will take away this night

One poem
To tell you of my heart
One poem
But where love do I start?

One poem
To take away this pain
One poem
A final, loving refrain

One poem to leave behind
One poem that will remind
A poem that will sing
Of the love that I bring

One poem, a burning flame
One poem, never the same
A poem from my soul
My love, for you to hold

One poem this Knight gives
To the heart for which I live
This poem is my life
I offer to you, my light

One poem
Before you walk away
One poem
You who brighten my day

One poem
Before this love dies
One poem
Before my heart cries

One poem
For you. . .
One poem
It's all I can do

I write. . .

Sven, you write with the elegance of a true Knight, and if you give her that one poem from your heart, she will only beg for more!!   Beautiful thoughts from you, my friend........

From this I get the sense that the author feels his poetry is his only chance of expressing his emotions... and the confidence to know... it will only take one.

I think you said it all with just this "One Poem" Sven.  The one who holds your heart will be a lucky lady indeed.

Sven,
To compose that one poem of the heart, that one missive from the soul...the one to make all the difference to your love. Do write, my friend...

This is beautiful and so very "you" ~

Sven~

One poem to last a lifetime
One chance to pen the day
One poem to touch a heart
Within your thoughtful way

One poem to impress upon
another heart in waiting
One chance to find the love
your heart is anticipating

One poem from the Sven
Given with romantic telling
One poem from your heart
within another heart dwelling

*Sven-meister ....
No one does it better than you !
It's such a part of who you are.
What a pleasure to read your heart.

Sven
This one read very well.  It flowed off my tongue. I loved it. As they say in the sports world "Your the Man"
