                Meet me in the meadow....
                Just before the dawn..
                Chases evening shadows..
and lights the path you're on....

                I'll be waiting for you....
                By the trickling stream..
                Over by the arch..Two
                Weeping Willows lean....

                There among the flowers....
                I'll lay our blanket down..
                We can stay for hours..
                No one is around....

                Soft and gentle breezes....
                O'er our bodies play..
                It touches and it teases..
                Sweeps our cares away....

                We could love forever....
                If we lived in rhyme..
                Parting would be never..
                Captives for all time....

So, meet me in the meadow....
                Just before the light..
                Maybe gypsy magic..
                Will cast it's spell tonight....

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

Ahh Sunny,
I am again touched by this love tale that you have written. This verse is special.

So, meet me in the meadow....
Just before the light..
Maybe gypsy magic..
Will cast it's spell tonight....

Sunny, you know I like this. It reminds me of my "Meet me in the Morning", but of course, this has some tidbits in it that mine did not.
Love it.

Sunny1,
And where would that meadow be located ?
Just kidding , I'm a happily married moose .
Very well written , one can almost picture
this idyllic setting .

S1- you know of course I love all your poems,,this one however has one line that I really have trouble with--
"Meet me in the meadow....
Just before the dawn..
Chases evening shadows..
and lights the path you're on"

dawn and chasing evening shadows ??????

Sunny1~

As the dawn chases the evening shadows away,
I can see the glow of sunlight upon the gypsies dancing.

Spell-binding for sure !
So lovely.

Hello Jamie....

You have to know where I live in order for this line to lie correctly within your mind!!  I'm in Alaska.......it stays light here in the summers to around 3AM, and then there is an hour or two of twilight, where you can still see to work in your garden!!  The twilight is the 'evening shadows' and dawn arrives quickly to chase them away.  I guess I'm so used to the daylight>twilight>daylight effect, that I didn't realize how it might sound out of context!!      Thank you, Jamie....
