My hand was very dirty
So at the sink
Soap and hot water
I scrubbed and scrubbed
But still it was not clean

With Comet and a scouring pad
And steaming, scalding water
I stood there at the sink
And scrubbed and scrubbed
But still it was not clean

So I went down to the workshop
And found my rasp and file
Then back up to the sink
Where I scrubbed and scrubbed
But still it was not clean

So I found some coarse sandpaper
And a bottle of lye
Then back up to the sink
Where I scrubbed and scrubbed
But still it was not clean

Now using a cheesegrater
And the water's turning pink
See? I told you it'd come off
Still I scrubbed and scrubbed
Almost, but not quite clean

Well, now my hand is just a nub
And, yeah, there's a little pain
You probably think that I'm insane
But I've really gotta tell ya
I've never felt so clean!

Alicat....LOL....Looking down at my own hands, still have traces of grease and dirt from the garage where I "work" on them even though I have scrubbed with slimey stuff, soap, baby oil, and water. REally enjoyed this poem, but I would rather have my hands dirty and than not have them at all.

now that was something special done to clean the hand...
be careful what all you do to your hands for we need them to write/type such nice poems...

regards,
sudhir
P.S. for somethings to be cleaned soap/detergent never do the trick...
maybe a pure thought could help...
