If you close your eyes
You could imagine many things
You could imagine heavenly bliss
Or when a songbird sings.

If you closed your eyes
And imagined something romantic
You could imagine you and your mate
Cruising across the Atlantic.

You could also close your eyes
And open up to nightmares
Ghastly things & thoughts in your mind
Despicable, hideous beast chasing you everywhere.

But if you closed your eyes
And savored your dreams
You could enter into something erotic
Full of sensual and sexual scenes.

Only if you close your eyes,
Oh, the many thing you could be.
Your ever inventive imagination
Creating anything you wished to see.

So the next time you close your eyes
And let your imagination run wild
Let yourself drift away slowly
And you'll awaken with a smile.

I feel that poem is very truthful.  If people would stop and close thier eyes and think of all the things they could do by just using thier imaginations for a moment the world would do so many wonder things. Great peom I started reading and couldn't stop.

Princess
I appreciated your comments.  Imagination spurs creativity.  And if you keep reading here in Passions, I'm sure you'll see that our world has created so many beautiful things already, and there will be many more.

Ladysixstring
As always, I appreciate your comments. I'm always looking forward to your work.  You are truly a very imaginative person.  Thanks again.

Paula
When you drop by and comment on one of my poems, just you being able to take a moment to comment, I take as a compliment.  Your vivid imagination and not knowing what I've unleashed has got me looking forward to your next work.  Hopefully it will be here on Open Poetry #9 if you know what I mean.

I loved this Garfield , the mind is very perceptive and deceptive. It makes our fantasies and realities. I enjoyed this very much.
