I' m On The Down Low

I'm on the down low so low I can't fly
And, so low, God, I am dying inside
Because, tonight, as always, I found him again
I'm on the down low side of a strangers hand...

I saw the shadow of him on my wall ahead
Another night on the down low- the floor as my bed
And, when wishing becomes just another unspoken word
You'll find him as my blanket with no sounds heard...

I'm on the down low- I lie like the ground
There's always something over me when the sun goes down
I become the earth below to the unfair skies
This girl only holds the memories on the down low side...

I'm on the down low so low I can't fly
And, so low, God, I'm dying inside
Because, tonight, as always, I'm reminded again
Being on the down low and that strangers hand...

I've become that shadows pillow for so many years
And, have known a lifetime it seems of hidden tears
I've been on the down low and too scared to run
Because that shadow on my wall was the stronger one...

I've known pain beyond what you'd think a shadow could do
I've known shadows in ways that little girls shouldn't have to
And, some girls have a safe place to lay their heads
But, this little girl knows only the ground as her bed...

I'm on the down low so low I can't fly
And, so low, God, that I'm dying inside
Because, tonight, as always, I'm reminded again
Being on the down low side of that strangers hand...

Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak
I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps

I read the first few lines... stopped... started over... and sang the whole thing.

Please, please tell me you have music for this...

Outstanding... truly inspirational from a musician/singer stand point.

A song for sure....so is one for the TNN?  You have been giving us some real beauties here lately and your growth is amazing.  Your words and your flow fill the screen with magic each time you post.
