One Sweet Night

I found peace for a moment from my best friend
She took this heart of mine where only few have been
I've reached the unknown inside the brightest light
Then I was taken to Jesus one sweet night...

With the sound of her voice and her by my side
The greenest of all green hills stood before my eyes
With her hand in mine there was much to be found
There was the beach and it's sand softly covering the ground...

And, with feeling the warm sand that lay below our feet
I then found the water and the sunset placed before me
She gave me still water of blue and of the purest kind
It was the greatest view created between two minds...

I raised my eyes to the sky hanging ahead
And, the brilliant colors of this sunset seemed to take my breath
There were colors of the world that I have never known
My best friend and I were finally home...

To what I thought couldn't compare to all I was already given
She led me to the truth in my heart that has always been missing
Her voice had then led me to glance to my right
There was Jesus, sweet Jesus, one sweet night...

Now, for once, I finally had found the sun
And, with Him in the distance I wanted to run
My best friend and her heart and hand in hand
Let me feel the love of this great man...

There were tears from feeling he really did care
And, I cried because she loved me enough to take me there
I touched a part of life that I'll never set free
My walk with her and Jesus lives forever within me...

To my best friend and Aunt you have changed my life
With the greatest gift you gave me one sweet night
It will be here in my heart now and forever
This memory of you and I and sweet Jesus together...

Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak
I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps

What a wonderful tribute to someone you are so obviously lucky to have in your life.  She's just as lucky... beautiful work.
