Outside my door I have a mat Lying sedately, my welcome mat People don't come anymore Knocking, knocking on my door Standing upon my welcome mat Nothing I see but a fatter mat I'm starting to worry about that mat Every day it gets more fat Policemen came, they filled the street Thinking I dined on salesmen meat Heard them pounding on the door Heard them scream, then nothing more My welcome mat has gotten bigger I swear I've heard it belch and snigger And I'm held hostage in my flat By my carnivorous welcome mat Alicat As I sit here dimly thinking Watching modem lights a-blinking Churning out poetic hash.
