I Would Hand You [a tribute to Doreen Peri] a quote a load of literary something a piece of doreen and a load of help it is within me to hand you something anything oh God my God I would even WISH you something if it were in my providence but oh a big BUT I have a friend and Lord you’ve watched over her and have guided her she is so well spoken and immediately taken in; I would transform me to be her but it is not within my realm to be someone I am not. I would hand my friends something of her, doreen a poet who harbors any and everything someone who tastes and feels and reigns supreme o yes she is this person our doreen Young and guileless frank, sublime, she puts in hours, o the overtime, she is so creative, she creates sparks sublime, she is, our doreen, our creative one fine… I’ve come to know her but she’s abstruse to know she lingers she smiles she sounds just so o could I have a moment to know our doreen we’re in like with her so. ©Karilea Rilling Jungel 17 August 2000 |

Karilea... i am honored beyond words... nobody has ever written me a tribute before -- this poem is so very special to me. i literally got tears in my eyes when i first read this and i will be reading it over again many times. you are a dear friend and special person to write something like this for me... thank you so much! i love that last line, btw... hehe... i have never been told before that people were "in like" with me!  thanks to all of you who responded here and for the kind things you said about me... Nan... your words are very special  |

Karilea - You've written some perfectly aimed verses here - Doreen is all lady, pure class. She's open, giving, and has a wonderful talent for drawing people in and out. The things Nan said are all true. Doreen is a special person who makes others glad to be near her. Oh, and surely you know that she is a terrific mother, too. Just look at her kids and how well they reflect their love for her. It was neat standing in the background and watching her interract with them. It was a perfect portrait of a mother's love. Doreen is going to do alright in her new life. |

Sunshine, firstly a wonderful poem and a deserving tribute to an excellent poet, Doreen. Even her name is enough to leave me in awe. Sunshine a beautiful and very caring thought but I think you also deserve a tribute yourself. She shines down upon us, her words are rays of grace her poetic charm puts a smile upon all faces, Sunshine continue to dazzle us poetical sing us your songs to bright up our lives.
