Alone
in the room of love
she answers to a god
that seems to lack any reason,
she forces herself
to attempt some kind
of absolution
but fooling herself
is the way she cannot feel.
She falls down to say
why is this my pennance
the silence remains
and gives her the answers
so with pen and vengence
she writes to the world
save me before I am forgotten
and this time
I'll remember my love
for it's true,
that you lose your memories
what you don't remember to use.
He crumbles
at her source of inspiration
a thousand miles
and he cannot give
her flirtation
for he sees
he is last
and drifting over days
and forgotten the way
to hold her dear
like he always used to.
And they're
drifting in a house
that has no completion
the room of love
is a tomb
for their failure.

Take care,

very much adored from afar your words fill this room with so much love. Though you would think  buried they now have come alive your words seen to mingle and make us all aware that their is such a thing is true love. Very good Micheal once again.

I have a habbit of looking for the one line or two in a poem that really stands out to me as clever, meaningful, beautiful, something that just sums it all up, sets the tone, brings life to the piece...  I read this twice and have come to the conclusion that they all pull their own weight... each and every line is completely equal in all of the qualities mentioned above.

This holds wisdom and a great deal of insight Michael. To live in entrapment is  not living at all.  Very nicely written.
